Living in Big Spring, TX
Big Spring is a midpoint in West Texas and delivers a mixture of yesterday, today, and tomorrow that welcomes the native and the newcomer alike. It derives its name from the nearby “big spring” in Sulphur Draw, which was a watering place for a multitude of wildlife including wolves and herds of buffalo.
It is the location that brings you here, the unique beauty that gives you pause, and the kindness of the community that will make you stay. Nearby is Big Spring National Park. The State Park hosts a number of runs during the year, including Midnight Rave Runs during the summer, a 5k fun run/walk around Valentine’s day, and a 10k/5k run/walk in April. Other activities include picnicking, nature study and sightseeing.
