At Highland Animal Hospital, we get a ton of interesting questions from pet parents. Below are some common FAQs that might help answer any questions or concerns. Please feel free to call us at 432-267-8291 for any other concerns you might have about your pet.
What are the hospital hours?
Highland Animal Hospital is open from 8:30 AM-5:30 PM, our latest appointment is at 4:45 PM. We stay open thru the lunch hour for medication or food pickup.
Do you take emergencies?
Highland Animal Hospital does take emergencies, from 5:30 PM-12:00 AM. We rotate weekly with Legacy Animal Emergency Hospital 432-247-1479.
Do you offer payment plans?
Highland Animal Hospital does not offer payment plans but we do accept all major credit cards and we do accept CareCredit.
Is it REALLY necessary to give my cat or dog flea/tick and Heartworm prevention year-round?
Our weather is unpredictable, and even in the winter, we experience warm days. Flea, tick, and mosquito activity decreases with cooler weather but require freezing temperatures over a sustained number of days for them to die. Intestinal parasites are a year-round occurrence, and heartworm prevention also keeps these parasites under control.
What kind of pets do you treat?
Highland Animal Hospital takes care of Canines, Felines, Birds, Reptiles, and Rodents
Do you accept walk-ins?
We will accept walk-ins, but it’s better to schedule an appointment. We will see our appointments before our walk-ins.
Do you offer boarding or grooming?
We do offer boarding for canines and felines; we also offer daycare service. We have all indoor boarding. We do bathing, toenail trims, and anal gland expressions, we do not offer any haircuts.
